Trend of Construction Investment


The total length of tunnels under construction in 2003 was 1,164km.
The chart show the amounts of tunnel works under contract in every five year from 1985 to 2000, and 2003, categorized by tunnel purpose of usage.
Benefiting from active social capital construction in the 90's, the amount of works under contract showed a rising trend, and since 1995 a level of euro23 billion or more has been maintained mainly in railway and road tunnel projects.
